Global Distribution of Lithium Reserves 2022 🌍
#Lithium, known as “white gold,” is a key resource in the transition towards cleaner energy and the development of sustainable technologies.
At the “Potential and Future of Lithium in the National Economy” seminar organized by CESCO, Patricio Ignacio Faúndez Martelli, a specialist engineer at GEM | Mining Consulting, pointed out that 46.5% of the world’s reserves are located in the famous “Lithium Triangle,” which covers parts of Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile, with the Salar de Atacama standing out as a strategic area.
⚡ Additionally, he highlighted that Australia holds 23.9% of global reserves, reinforcing its position as a key player in the global mining industry.
This map reflects the importance of each region in supplying this essential resource for the future of energy and technology. The potential for #innovation and growth in these areas is impressive, and the challenge is to maximize its use in a #sustainable and efficient manner. At Outotive, we support our clients in these regions to achieve a more efficient and sustainable #extractiveindustry.
